GUANGZHOU, China - Toyota Motor Corp. begins production of its Camry car in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, on May 23. Toyota will initially produce 50,000 Camry cars a year at Guangzhou Toyota Motor Co., set up in 2004 jointly with Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Output will be boosted to 100,000 vehicles when the plant goes into full operation.
